WE’RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD!
This year’s theatre production ‘The Wizard of Oz’, performed at the Grove Theatre, was another sell out show and hugely enjoyed by parents, guests and pupils alike.
After a year-long gap, due to Covid, this year’s performance more than made up for the wait. Going several steps further than previous productions with more dramatic scenes, the use of dry ice, sound and visual effects, it was certainly a night to remember.
Involving all pupils aged between 4 and 11, The Wizard of Oz took months of preparation and rehearsal before the big night. Co-Producers Mr Chidell and Miss Pawaar held auditions for the main roles back in the Autumn. The lead role of Dorothy was played by Eleeza Ahmed, supported by: Ayesha Mazhar (Scarecrow), Azaan Hussain (Tin Man), Danisan Sathiskumar (Lion), Tamara Senouni (Glina), Joeliyn Addai (The Wicked Witch), Anum Mumtaz (Auntie Em), Eesa Askar (Palace Guard), Zeeshaan Mohib (The Wizard), Zavier Hoque (Uncle Henry), Mikaeel Malik (Toto), and Arya Azam (Cat).
